BARBERRY
(Berberis vulgaris)

This perennial herb can grow up to 10 feet high. The flowers are yellow and the berries, that appear in the fall, are red or black and they can be used for making jam and jellies.
Grow Barberry in dry, sandy soil in a sunny location.

Parts used: Rhizome, root bark.

Don't use if you are pregnant since it stimulates the uterus. Don't use if you have any heart disease. High doses of Barberry can also result in nausea, headaches and low blood suger.
