BUCKTHORN
(Rhamnus cathartica)


This herb can grow up to 10 feet high. The berries are blue-black and have a somewhat sweet taste when they first ripen and later they become bitter.
Buckthorn grows all over Europe and western Asia and some parts of United States.
The berries should be harvested in late summer.

Part used: Berries.

Don't take if you are pregnant or nursing. Don't take if you have abdominal pain or any inflammatory intestinal illnesses.
Side effects such as diarrhea or intestinal cramping may occur.
