TURMERIC
(Curcuma longa) This perennial herb is native of India and Indonesia. It is often used together with other herbs. Turmeric is the main ingredient in curry powder and mustard. Turmeric contains a yellow pigment called curcumin.
Add Turmeric to stews, rice, vegetable and shellfish dishes for a delicious taste.
Other common names for this herb is curcuma, haldi, haridra and gauri.
Part used: Roots.
Don't use if you have symptoms from gallstones.
