CENTAURY
(Centaurium erythraea)


This annual herb is also known as Christ's Ladder, filwort, bitter herb and Feverwort. The flowers are pinkish purple, the leaves are pale green, smooth and shiny. The plant thrives in boggy meadows as well as in dry dunes. It can grow up to 12 inches high.
